Schools use Facebook Timeline-in for the lessons of history

Hours of history have created a new approach to study the major historical events. School in Amsterdam, 43 Gymnasium, has benefited from the popularity of Facebook and Timeline feature to inspire a curriculum. Website allows students to create posts, linking different media to generate dialogue with their friends of the class.
Class focuses on four subjects: Travel Megalanit, inventions of the 20th century, the history of fashion from the 1950s until today and the birth of the collapse of the Soviet Union. By not focusing only on content but also on the chronology of events, students are able to experience a greater sense of social and cultural themes, trends and peak achievements.
Class was sent a public invitation to others to become part of Timeline's visiting their site on Facebook. Titles, as well as more information about the project can be found in the video clip.
